I am pleased to announce the promotion of Tammy Grigsby to the position of VP of Operations.
 
Tammy started with Staco in September of 2013 in a part time role in inside sales.  She took the lead on the development and launching of the quoting tool that we use today.  Over time as opportunities arose, she moved into manufacturing, where she has gradually taken on more responsibility the last two years.   Tammy has a Mechanical Engineering Degree from the University of Dayton and with her past experience working at Delphi in a manufacturing role, this transition to operations suited her well.
       
We have made marked improvement this past year in operations; we still have much more to accomplish.  I am confident, with Tammy’s leadership, that we will continue on this path of improvement in operational processes and metrics.  
 
This will be effective Monday, October 19th and Tammy will continue to report to me.  Joe Waisanen will now be reporting to Tammy.

This is quite the accomplishment, it required approval from CCA, they do not take this lightly as it is an Officers position.

Staco Energy Products will continue to be fully operational, in compliance with this order, as we are a supplier to many of the essential businesses listed in the order.
 
We’re confident in our ability to continue to deliver our products and services, and we want to share Staco’s commitment to you and the steps that we’re taking to protect all of our customers, partners, and employees:

• We’re carefully monitoring the rapidly changing situation, following guidance from both the CDC and Federal, State health authorities.

I am pleased to announce the hiring of Ben Ludy who will be joining our Administration team as our new IT Manager. Ben will be starting on Monday, December 2^nd and will report to me. Ben has his Associates of Science Degree in Electronics Engineering. He also has AutoCAD and purchasing in his background though his past 8 years have primarily been focused in IT and systems management. I understand that many of you have IT concerns, questions, needs, needed updates, etc. and we need to recognize that Ben’s first few weeks (if not months) will be like drinking from a firehose. Jim Clark has informed me that he is retiring.   He will be working until the end of October, then taking his last two weeks of vacation.

I am very happy for Jim, he is entering the next chapter in his life, enjoying retirement down in St. Augustine, FL. Jim will truly be missed; he has been a big contributor to the success of Staco. Jim started work at Staco on April 1, 2003 and was extremely instrumental in getting Staco a foothold in the UPS industry.   His counsel, mentorship and support has been felt throughout the organization on a daily basis.

We are pleased to announce the following changes:

Voltage Control Products Sales/Engineering Structure – In an effort to improve and be more in line with traditional reporting structures, we are making the following administrative changes:

• Jason Mavis and Ray Shore will report to Bret Fox. Jeff Ross will now report to Jason.
• Chris Cleary will continue to report to Paul Heiligenberg. Additionally, Paul will focus more of his time growing Staco’s worldwide sales through new partnerships and sales opportunities. Growing VCP sales is of critical importance. We know Paul has the history and knowledge with Staco products to make it happen.

These administrative changes will not impact the good working relationship of these individuals in the VCP group and the VCP group will continue to function as it has up to now. We look forward to your support as we incorporate these important changes.

Engineering Department –

• Bret Fox is promoted to Director of Engineering. This new position will oversee all of the daily activities in product development, including the activities of the VCP group, and sustaining existing product lines. Bret will continue to report to Jim Clark.
• Charish Gillespie is promoted to Engineering Product Support Group Supervisor. Greg Field will report directly to Charish. Charish will continue to report to Bret Fox.

We have full confidence that Bret and Charish will make a smooth transition to their new roles and continue to do an outstanding job for Staco. Please give them your full support going forward.

In order to continue our efforts to provide more focused, local sales coverage and support, the following changes will be made, effective January 1, 2019:

Director of Northeast Regional Sales – Mariann O’Connor will be joining Staco as Director of Sales in the recently modified Northeast Sales Region  territory. She will be based out of her home in New Jersey, calling on the states of VA, WV, MD, DE, NJ, NY, CT, RI, PA, MA, VT, NH, and ME, and the  provinces of Quebec and New Brunswick, CA per the attached map.

Mariann comes to Staco from Eaton, where she spent the last 9 years as a data center sales manager, national account manager, and business  development manager. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in NJ.

Director of Midwest Regional Sales ‐ Bill Wolfe will shift his focus west, covering the following states: OH, KY, MO, IN, IL, MI, WI, MN, IA, KS, and OK. He will also support the provinces of Manitoba and Ontario. Bill will continue to manage and support the Standard Electric/AS&E account opportunity in Massachusetts.

Jonathan Lucas – Starting January 1st, Jonathan Lucas will report to Carolyn Brady. Additionally, Carolyn will take over project management of the new single phase UL924 unit and investigate plans for a modular UPS product. This will allow Derek Engeln more time to travel, assisting the sales team with lunch and learn presentations and large project opportunities.

Please introduce yourself and welcome Mariann when she starts on January 7th. She will spend the first week in Dayton getting acquainted with our products and sales support systems.

I am pleased to announce the following changes in the Operations team:

Ali Thompson is being promoted to the newly created position of Inventory Control Specialist reporting to Erin McLaughlin, effective immediately. Ali’s vast knowledge of M2M and previous experience in inventory management will make her a strong addition to the Operations/Materials Management team. The Operations team is very excited to have her join us, and we know that the Engineering department will miss her.

Cathy Simmons will be transitioning to the role of Industrial Engineer reporting to me. Cathy holds a Master’s degree in Industrial and Human Factors Engineering from Wright State University and has previous experience as an Industrial Engineer for the Dayton-Phoenix Group and at General Motors. In the near term she will continue her work supporting the facility move and will transition as time permits for training.

These changes will strengthen the Operations team and position us to make the improvements necessary for Staco’s success!
